Meet sweet Theodore.  He was born to one of my favorite couples, Yarwijn and Adam.  I had the joy of capturing their incredible wedding at the Wyndgate Country Club in 2012- it was an amazing celebration!!  You can take a peek here if you'd like to see just how beautiful it was.  When Yarwijn reached out to tell me that they were expecting, I was over the moon excited for them.  See, I've been doing this photography thing for a long time and sometimes, I just get a feeling about people.  How they interact together, how they compliment each other... and I absolutely knew these two were going to make great parents someday.  I just knew, like the sun rises.  :)

Photos are super important to Yarwijn, so making time to capture some pregnancy photos was a priority for them.  You can see some favorite images here.  We were able to get that session in just before Theodore made his debut.  What a lovely session awaiting their sweet little one!

While I have a studio east of Lansing, sometimes its just too daunting to think about transporting a brand new babe.  So I always offer to come to my clients' home to do the newborn session.  All I need is a large window and a little space to work.  I bring everything with me for the session: wraps, baskets, pants, rompers, hats, blankets, etc.  Yarwijn and Adam have a sunroom in their home, which was absolutely perfect for working with Theodore.  One of the most important items I have with me for my newborn shoots is a portable heater.  It's invaluable for helping to keep the new baby comfortable when he or she is unclothed and babies always sleep better when they are warm.  Yarwijn's sunroom brought in plenty of yummy light, as well as allowed my heater to get things nice and toasty for Theodore.  His session was pretty effortless!  He was a pro by the time we were finished.  Here are some of my favorite images that we captured of him.  Welcome to the world, Theodore!!  We are so happy you are here!!
